Via “Settings – work areas”, you can add and adjust work areas, and assign employees to the work areas.

How to add a work area

The “Add” button allows you to add a work area.

The following pop-up appears:


Here, you fill in the following details:

  • Name of the work area

  • Select the correct workspace

  • Select a colour for the workspace if you want to have one

  • Number of records

  • Function title

    • On a student contract you can find this under the “Qualification” field.
      Note: this function title is copied if the student is scheduled.

  • External ID

    • You should fill this in if you are linking with a third party

  • External ID (alphanumeric)

    • You should fill this in if you are linking with a third party

After adding the work area, you can now assign employees.

How to edit a work area

To edit a work area, use the edit icon next to the relevant work area.

The pop-up opens and you can make the necessary changes here, before clicking “Save”.

How to assign employees to your work area

Use the button “Assign employees” to allocate employees to your work area.


Clicking on the button opens the following pop-up.

At the top you can see the work area (in this case, “Dogcaring – Het pannenkoekenhuisje”).

Below this, you can check or uncheck the boxes next to the employees who can/can’t work in this work area.

When you have finished, click “Save”.

How to reorder the work areas

Click on the blue button “Reorder work areas”.

This opens the pop-up with the work areas. Use the up and down arrows at the end of the rows to change the order of the work areas. Click “Save” when you are happy with the order.

How can I delete a work area

A work area can not be deleted by an admin.
