In some cases it might be useful to set up a rounding of the clock in- or out times.
We advise to always make clear agreements with your personnel if you choose to do this.

You can set up the rounding of the time entries as follows.

  1. Choose in the menu for Management - Settings.

  2. In the first tab (General), you'll see 'Time entry rounding'. Here you can set up if you'd like to round up or round down and how many minutes.

  3. Click on 'Save'.

In order to explain, we'll take the example of someone who is scheduled to start working at 12:00. If you set up your time entry to round up 15 minutes and he clocks in at 11:45, his time will be rounded up to 12:00. If he clocks in at 11:40, it will be rounded up to 11:45.

To prevent that his starting time from 12:01 will also be rounded up to 12:15, you can check the box 'Only round before start time'. In doing this, if the person clocks in after his starting time, it will not be rounded.
Important: if someone wasn't on the schedule,  we'll also not round if the box is checked.

We set up our rounding to the 'nearest' time for 15 minutes for clocking out. this means that when a person clocks out at 18:07, it will become 18:00. If he clocks out at 18:08, it will become 18:15.

You can choose the minutes for rounding yourself: 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 or 60.

Attention: you need admin rights to be able to do this.
